Irish Fiddle

A Celtic Concert, featuring "The Morrigan," will be held in the lower level of the Bridgeton Library, 150 E. Commerce Street, at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 5.

"The Morrigan" is a traditional Irish group consisting of Mary Malone, who plays an Irish fiddle; Den Vykopal on an Irish uilleann pipe, wooden flute or a whistle; Bud Burroughs, a mandolin and banjo player; and Dave Hansen, who plays the baroque recorder and the bodhran.

Tickets for the concert are on sale for $10.00 each at the library and at the Gallery 50, 50 E. Commerce Street.  A ticket includes the concert, Irish snacks, and beverages.  Also included are special guests from the All That Dance Studio who will be performing some Irish Dancing on the concert stage as the opening act to "The Morrigan."

There will be a Chinese auction during the intermission.  All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Friends of the Bridgeton Library, a non-profit organization that supports and promotes the library's community service programs and purchases technology hardware and software for public use in the library.
