Jeff Kemper, a library friend, hauls in some used books for sorting.

Bridgeton Public Library

This year the Friends of the Library's Annual Used Book Sale will begin on Monday, July 14, 2008.

It will run each day until Saturday, July 19.

The hours of the book sale correspond with the daily hours of the Bridgeton Free Public Library.

Mondays and Fridays the library is open from 10 AM to 5 PM.  Tuesdays through Thursdays, the hours are 10 AM to 8 PM. On Saturdays the hours will be 10 AM to 2 PM.

A wide selection of books is available covering fiction, non-fiction, and lots of children's books.

All books are used, but many of them are in such good shape they appear to be almost new. They will be available the first couple days of the sale, but they go quickly.

On sale will be hard covers as well as paperbacks.

Most hard covers will be sold for $1 each, with large "coffee table" books at $2, and the paperbacks will be 50 cents each.

As the sale goes on the prices will be dropping, but in past sales, the best books are sold within only a few days.

More friends, Norma DeNoble, Ed Stadler, and Elizabeth McCutcheon, sort a few of the books that will be displayed for the Used Book Sale.
